There are many ways to present your gift even if the gift itself is something you pick out from the store. You can wrap it up nicely, put a tag on it, put a personalized card with it, etc. You can also be environmentally friendly by using only mateirals that will not harm the environment.

Technically, to be green, you do not want to give something to someone that they are just going to throw away. That means you should minimize the amount of paper you use on the gift that will be discarded as soon as the person opens your gift. There are many ways you can achieve this.

For example, if you are going to give a gift someone, why not also put it in a container that they will also use. For example, instead of putting your gift in just a disposable gift box, why not put in a kitchen bowl so that they can also use the bowl and think of it as a second gift. They will not throw the bowl in the thrash which is good for the environment. You can also use clothing, scarves, or some other usable cloths to wrap your gift so that the recipient will be able to use that cloth or clothing too.
