Rubber stamping is a big industry nowadays. Lots of people enjoy stamping and they like to make cards, gift cards, tags, and other things. Idea books always come in handy. You can use rubber stamping card ideas as starting points to create your own stylish cards. Fortunately, there are lots of places you can get your rubber stamping ideas from. There are magazines and books as well as useful websites that will give you lots of ideas. One of my favorite book of rubber stamping card ideas and techniques is called Simply Beautiful Rubber Stamping with 50 quick and easy projects.
Simply Beautiful Rubber Stamping (Simply Beautiful Series)
With this book, you can learn about rubber stamping from start to finish. The book starts with explaining to you different types of rubber stamps, ink pads, embossing powders and adhesives. There are lots of different types of ink pads and it can get confusing to know which ones are best for what situations. Then you will learn about cutting tools, paper and other tools. Before you get to the project ideas, you will learn all about different techniques that can come in handy when you make cards using rubber stamps. There are techniques for everything including adding color to stamped images and making cards themselves. If you do it right, your cards will look amazing. If you do not use the right techniques, it does not mean you will make bad cards but you will be surprised how easy it is to make great looking cards using very simple techniques and tools. Practice also makes perfect. You will learn to use the right amount of pressure to add color, etc.
There are so many ideas in this book for your hand made cards that people will go 'wow' when they see them. You can also make tri-fold cards easily and they are fun to make. Something that I really like in this book is all the ideas of how to fold each type of cards so your cards will look different and special. There are also many ideas of how to make your cards 3-d and with things inside. Of course, there are also ideas of how to make various pop-up cards for children as well as adults. Some of the ideas are specifically for special occasions such as mother's day cards, father's day cards, back to school cards, Halloween cards, Hanukkah cards, poinsettia cards for the holidays and Christmas cards.
This book has more ideas than just for making cards. You can use the same stamping techniques learned in this book to make other items. There are some projects in this book for making purses, making terra cotta pots, making journals, making pocket folios, making heart folios, making tag booklets, making boxes, making notebooks, making travel concertina, making photo cd folios, making holiday favor cubes, candy boxes and much more.
