Making Home Made Cards
Making home made cards is one of the easiest way to personalize a gift. No matter what your gift is, if you have a handmade card to go with it, then it is a personalized gift. But, of course, you have to choose the right gift too. For example, a girly gift for a boy will not be appropriate unless you are making a joke of course. There is a great book called Creative Cards that has many projects for you to do. There are 40 projects altogether for:
- handmade invitations,

- gift wrap and more
The book is by Paula Pascual and has 142 pages. You can make creative cards for pretty much any occasions. Creative Cards will show you how to:

I started off not knowing what to do but this book teaches me so many techniques. Some of them are much easier than I thought and they are really fun to do. You can make personalized gifts and have fun at the same time. Some of my favorite techniques are:
- tearing edges with water
- punching edges with different punches
- using double sided tape to fix a small piece of paper onto a large piece
- using sticky dots tape to fasten ribbons
- using self adhesive dots for a 3-d effect
- using silicone glue for uneven surfaces
- attaching 3 dimensional objects to the cards
- using glitter to make glittering cards
- making epoxy stickers using dimensional glue and using needle to break air bubbles
- using page pebbles instead of dimensional adhesive
- stamping
- making your own stamps out of an eraser
- using embossing ink to stamp with
- using paper punches
- using die cuts
- using stencil embossing with just a metal stencil
- using fixative or hair spray to make sure chalks stay
- etc etc
There are so many easy to use techniques and you are sure to have fun with many of them.
